Our Second Home is Daly City's first community center dedicated to the needs of young children and to providing support for the adults in their lives. Our grassroots, strengths-based program was begun in 2001 by a group of Daly City parents, caregivers, and educators with the mission to create a new kind of program: a program in which parents are the experts and teachers get the support they need.

The program is a cooperative one bringing Daly City residents, service providers, and community members together with staff and collaborators to co-create Our Second Home's services. Our program works because the people served by it have a true voice in deciding what services best meet their needs. A program of the Daly City Peninsula Partnership Collaborative, Our Second Home's goal is to help all Daly City families raise happy, healthy, school-ready young children.

Please take off your coat, find a comfortable spot and enter Our Second Home's web site. We want you to feel at ease and know that we are here to support your child, family, or classroom. We've learned that by working together, we can go a long way towards meeting the needs of Daly City's children, families, and teachers.
